When Was The Last Time You Laughed?

Hey Friend,

When was the last time you laughed?

This might seem like a strange question in the midst of a global pandemic, but it's been proven that laughter truly is one of the best medicines in life. One way or the other we will have to get through this crisis.

Let's choose to believe together that sunnier days are ahead!

I once heard Tony Robbins say, “When you stress it's because you are fearing something.” This could be something that you believe you do not have the power to solve or fix, so it keeps you tense, worried and fearful. That really got me thinking about all the times I've stressed over things, including what's happening all around us today. I realize it's all fear in disguise!

So, I began to look at my stress levels differently. And I want to encourage you to do the same. Keep in mind that by Tony's definition, stress equals fear.

What is the best antidote for fear? Faith!

Now, you may not believe in God as I do. You may believe in your own higher power or in yourself. Whatever that may be, you can still choose to believe for a better tomorrow. You can still choose to imagine a different outcome.

Now, many will say “Sharon, you do not know my story” and no, I don’t. I only know mine. When I feel stress coming on, I pray, I move around, get some exercise, listen to a sermon or a motivational speaker, and I TRANSFORM my mind so I can think about solutions and alternatives for my challenges.

Human beings have the capacity to think. We can think negative thoughts and literally watch our cells, organs, our entire body react in negative ways including serious illnesses.

We can also think positive thoughts, smile, practice positive self-talk and immediately observe the positive impact on our moods and mindsets. Really, we are the architects of our own lives.

In Luke 12:25, the question is asked: "Which of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life?”

You guessed it. None of us.

So instead of worrying, fretting and stressing, what you ought to do is pray, and then get up and do something that will take your mind off your issues.

In roughly two weeks, we will turn the corner on a this challenging year and begin a new one.

Will you face it in fear or will you choose faith?

I'm choosing to believe that the next 12 months are going to be 100 times better than the last 12.

That is truly my belief and I'm sticking to it. The New Year will also have its challenges, but I know it will be filled with opportunities. It's all in how you choose to approach it!
